While there are pre-made adhesive carpet tiles which make installation a lot easier, there are carpet tiles which require other adhesives too. These carpet adhesives, also known as carpet glue, come in spreadable form and are applied using a roller. They are more versatile, more useful and they last longer compared to carpet tacks or to those which are pre-applied. The carpet tile glue is used for a wide range of carpeting – where the carpet must adhere to curved contours rather than just lying flat - in stairways and cars, for example. It also improves the quality of installation because it prevents slippage and keeps the carpet in place over a period of time.
