To install carpet tiles, one will need the following: carpet tiles enough to cover the area, a carpet knife, a carpenter’s square, a tape measure, chalk line, and a carpet tape or glue if the tile isn’t adhesive. The installation begins by identifying the shape of the room – either square, trapezoidal or parallelogram. The shape of the room will determine the pattern of how the tiles will be placed, so that everything will be organized. Carpet tiles are best suited for areas that are more likely to get dirty, like kitchens, play areas, and spaces near the doors because they can easily be removed, cleaned and/or replaced.
